Donald R. Schwartz, Sr. | Donald Richard Schwartz, Sr. was born in Beverly on March 20, 1937. He served honorably in the US Navy, probably during the Korean Conflict. Don worked for his father, Joe Schwartz at Holiday Lake in Delanco in the late 1950s and early 1960s. In July of 1962, Joe died suddenly and Don was asked to step in as manager. Don managed the lake until 1972. Don also owned Tom’s Steaks in Edgewater Park. He lived in Riverside for most of his life. Don later moved to Hollywood, then Westminster, Orange Co, California to live with his son, Don died on December 13, 2017 at home.
